Position Title: Technical Manager

Direct Reports: COO (Foreigner from Europe)

Key Relationships:

Internal: Management team, Project Teams, Design, Finance, Procurement, Production, Sales & Marketing, Directors & Main Stakeholders

External: Clients, Contractors, Class & Flag societies

Position Purpose (briefly summarizes the purpose of the position)

1. To manage all technical trades, resources, assets, required to support all production and project management demand.

2. To manage, take responsibility for, actions, projects, assignments as assigned by COO.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (list the major responsibilities and accountabilities for the position as the PMP document request)

1. Responsible for all technical human resources.

2. Responsible for all technical drawings, procedures, standards, and documentation output.

3. Responsible for overviewing DDR for each project, to support project schedules of completion driven by project management and product construction line demand.

4. Responsible for technical throughput, process, innovation, efficiency management.

5. Responsible to control technical & design hours within project budget.

6. Responsible for team development and training.

7. Responsible for subcontracting design coordination and general management.

8. Responsible for supporting Project Manager and QC in liaising with Class, Flags, and Marine Departments for technical solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

1. 5+ year experience in shipyard technical management.

2. 10+ years high quality yacht and commercial vessel construction experience.

3. Able communicator through speaking, reading & writing English as second language.

Desirable:

1. Naval Architect with engineering and electrical background preferable.

2. Aluminium vessel construction experience.

3. Supplier chain and connection.
