The company, a publicly traded European entity with a 30-year presence in China, operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing base in Foshan. With a global reputation for innovation and quality, we are now expanding our China operations to capture growing market demand.

We are looking for an experienced Commodity Manager / Senior Lead Buyer – Spare Parts & MRO to manage the sourcing and procurement of industrial parts, MRO materials, and industrial consumables from the Chinese market. In this role, you will act as the bridge between our European buyers and production teams and Chinese suppliers, contributing to the development of a reliable and competitive supplier ecosystem supporting The Global plants in Europe and Brazil. Working closely with the Head of the China Procurement Platform and the Global Category Manager for Spare Parts, you will play an important role in structuring sourcing activities in China and strengthening the supplier network for spare parts and

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Supplier Management Identify, qualify, and audit potential suppliers in China for mechanical parts, consumables, and industrial products Develop and maintain a structured supplier network capable of supporting the needs of the company’s industrial plants.
  •  Conduct supplier capability assessments including technical expertise, production capacity, quality systems, and financial robustness.
  •  Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers while supporting supplier development initiatives when relevant.
  •  RFQ Management Lead the Request for Quotation process, analyze offers using a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery lead times.
  •  Ensure supplier proposals are technically compliant with engineering specifications and internal procurement requirements.
  •  Support sourcing initiatives aligned with the global category strategy for spare parts and MRO and the industrial projducts Repor and sharet the RFQ progress and result with EU buyers Quality & Compliance Coordinate with third-party inspectors to ensure all products meet European quality standards (ISO / ASTM) before shipment.
  •  Support CTO team.
  •  Ensure suppliers comply with Company procurement policies as well as applicable EHS and ESG standards.
  •  Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure technical compatibility and reliability of sourced components.
  •  Market Intelligence Monitor price trends (materials, energy, labor costs, etc.) in the Chinese market and report risks or opportunities to the Head of China Procurement Platform and the Global Category Manager.
  •  Track supplier capabilities, manufacturing developments, and innovation opportunities within the Chinese industrial ecosystem. Contribute to identifying new sourcing opportunities that can support the competitiveness of the company’s global operations.
  •  Order Follow-up Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) to our plants in Europe and Brazil.
  •  Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding production progress, shipment preparation, and documentation.
  •  Management As the China Procurement Platform develops, the role may evolve to support the coordination of additional sourcing activities or the onboarding of junior buyers dedicated to spare parts procurement.

 Job Requirement

  • You combine a strong technical mindset with strategic sourcing capabilities and are comfortable working in an
    international industrial environment.
    ● You are able to interact effectively with engineering teams, suppliers, and procurement stakeholders to identify
    competitive technical solutions.
    ● You demonstrate strong analytical skills and are capable of challenging specifications while maintaining constructive
    relationships with project teams.
    ● You are proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work autonomously while contributing to global procurement
    initiatives.
    Your education:
    ● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. A complementary background in procurement
    or supply chain management is considered a strong advantage.
    Your experience:
    ● Minimum 5 years of experience in technical purchasing or sourcing in an industrial environment (Steel,
    Automotive, or Heavy Industry preferred).
    ● Experience working with Chinese manufacturing suppliers and industrial sourcing environments is highly valued.
    ● Exposure to international industrial environments is considered a strong advantage.
