Job Opening: Supply Chain Specialist

Reporting to: Asia Supply Chain Manager (Based at Singapore)

Location: Naning City

Job Responsibilities:

1. Supplier development and management
– Understand the project and materials design requirements.
– Develop appropriate suppliers and make procurement strategy proposal for project requirements.
– Lead the supplier audits and assessments.
2. Material Project Management
– Work closely with R&D, Q, Tooling etc. teams for project smooth running.
– Routine project meeting with project core team
– Ensure materials/samples availability till smooth Series Production
– BOM cost control according to project targets
3. Sourcing activities
– New production materials sourcing, cost analysis, price negotiation and management
– Supplier capacity management
4. Supply risk management
– Foresee the potential risk which will delay project schedule.
– Resolve supply risk with internal & external coordination.
5. Cost Down Initiatives and coordinating.
– Work with German Procurement team to ally the reporting, work with internal parties to drive ratio/cost saving projects.
contribute to cost down reporting.
– Initiate the activities to meet the cost down targets.
6. Purchasing Coordination
– Pur-Company SharePoint Maintenance
– Miscellaneous supporting to improvement/optimization projects of Plant Asia
– To present the regular and ad hoc report as required.

Job Qualification

1) Lead in sourcing and procuring of materials, parts, components, and assemblies to provide the company with a competitive edge
2) Support new product/transfer programs by coordinating procurement activities until the production run
3) Provide technical sourcing support to R&D to meet aggressive Cost of Goods Sold (CoGS) targets and/or new suppliers/materials for development
4) Drive the release of materials in a timely manner with R&D and project core teams to meet production build dates
5) Support R&D sourcing efforts by identifying and purchasing components during prototype builds
6) Lead and drive sourcing activities to achieve cost-saving targets or supply risk mitigation in NPI programs
7) Investigate new or alternate sources of supply to support new product development, cost reduction requirements, and/or supplier performance issues
8) Advocate the category strategies within the business during the product development phase
9) Ability to drive for results in an ambiguous and fast paced environment
