Title: Décor Manager (装饰产品经理)

Report to: Sales Director and Group Head of Décor and &Design

Location: Shanghai

Role Briefing – Decor Manager China (Expert Level)

Objective
We are looking for a professional expert in Decor / Design Management to lead all decor, surface and texture-related topics for China. The role is hands-on and expert-driven at the start, with a clear future perspective to grow into a Head-of role depending on performance, capability, and business need.

Position & Seniority

1. Initial title: Decor Manager China (Senior-level individual contributor)
2. Reporting: Sales Director China (local) and Group Head of Decor & Design Management (functional)

Key Responsibilities (Summary)

1. Lead decor, surface and texture development topics for the China market
2. Drive decor lifecycle management from concept and trend scouting to launch and phase-out
3. Work closely with Sales and Marketing on trend presentations, launches, and customer-facing activities
4. Manage and coordinate external suppliers (e.g. printers, press-plate manufacturers, design partners)
5. Conduct market and competitor analysis to support decor and product strategy
6. Act as central interface between China organization and global group functions
7. Contribute to fairs, showrooms, and internal/external training related to decors

Required Professional Competences (Must-have)

1. Strong decor / surface / texture expertise, ideally in wood-based panels, furniture, flooring, or interior materials
2. Solid understanding of printing technologies, press plates, embossing and surface finishing
3. Proven experience in decor or product lifecycle management
4. Strong ability in trend analysis and market intelligence, especially for the China market
5. Excellent stakeholder management skills (suppliers, sales, marketing, international HQ)
6. Structured, analytical working style with strong project management capability
7. Able to work independently in a fast-paced, growing organization

1. Strong communication and presentation skills (internal & customer-facing)
2. High cross-cultural competence (China ↔ global HQ interaction)
3. Collaborative mindset, able to influence without formal authority

Qualifications & Background

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Industrial Design, Material Science, Wood Technology, Product Management, or similar
2. 5–7+ years of relevant experience in decor, surfaces, interior materials, or closely related industries
3. Experience working with external decor or surface suppliers is essential
4. Languages:
   • Chinese: fluent / native
   • English: fluent (written & spoken)
