Job Description: Business Development (BD) Director
Report to: Sales VP

Location: flexible at Shanghai/Guangzhou/Beijing
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to spearhead our growth strategy by expanding new sales channels and driving market penetration for our innovative liquid packaging solutions. Reporting to the VP of Sales/Commercial, this role will focus on two key approaches:
- Direct Client Acquisition: Identifying and securing partnerships with enterprises that directly utilize liquid packaging products (e.g., beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturers).
- Indirect Channel Expansion: Leveraging influential retailers, e-commerce platforms, and distributors to amplify brand visibility and influence end-user adoption of our packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a strategic plan to penetrate new markets and diversify sales channels, aligning with company objectives.
- Proactively identify and engage high-potential clients in the liquid food/beverage industry or FMCG sector, building long-term partnerships.
- Forge collaborations with key retailers, e-commerce giants, and distributors to create indirect pathways for product adoption.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with both direct clients and channel partners, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, operations) to tailor solutions to client needs.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Train and motivate internal teams and external partners to effectively promote our products.
- Travel frequently (domestic and international) to meet clients, attend industry events, and drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience:
1) 8+ years of proven BD experience in the liquid packaging, liquid food/beverage, or FMCG industries.
2) Demonstrated success in developing direct client relationships and indirect sales channels (retailers, e-commerce, distributors).
3) Extensive network of contacts within liquid food manufacturers, FMCG brands, or key channel partners.
- Skills:
1) Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
2) Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
3) Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.
- Language: Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) are a plus.
