Having established a strong presence in China for over two decades, the company operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing center in the East China region, dedicated to serving the dynamic and growing Chinese market.

Position Title: Sales General Manager (GM) – China

Location: Shanghai, China

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales General Manager to lead our China operations, focusing on driving sales growth, expanding market share, and enhancing customer satisfaction across our diverse product portfolio. This role will not only oversee the sales strategy, market development, and new client acquisition but also involve direct management of our manufacturing facility in East China, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the Chinese market, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
    • Identify and capitalize on market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to drive revenue growth.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  2. Market Development & New Client Acquisition:
    • Lead market research efforts to identify new business opportunities and segments.
    • Devise and implement effective sales and marketing campaigns to penetrate new markets and acquire high-value clients.
    • Collaborate with product development teams to tailor solutions that meet specific market demands.
  3. Team Management & Development:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achievement.
    • Set clear performance targets and KPIs, monitoring progress and providing regular feedback and coaching.
    • Promote cross-functional collaboration within the organization to enhance overall efficiency and customer service.
  4. Factory Management (East China):
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and production schedules.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
    • Liaise with global headquarters and other regional offices to align manufacturing strategies and ensure supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales management within a multinational corporation, preferably in the fluid control, precision engineering, or related industries. and candidates with client resources in the industry of pharmaceticual industry will be an advantage
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable.
  • Management Skills: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Chinese market dynamics, customer preferences, and regulatory environment within the targeted sectors.
  • Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing market conditions.
  • Location: Willingness to be based in Shanghai and travel within China and internationally as required.
