Title: Project Manager

Report to: COO (Foreigner from Europe)

Work Location: Pearl River Delta, Guangdong Province

Major responsibilities:

–Ensure vessels and other specified products and services are produced and delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and specifications.

–Ensure OHS&E guidelines and policies are carried out.

–Oversight of all project resources including all subcontractors.

–Supervise dealings with classification societies and flag authorities.

–Responsible for on time, on budget, delivery of project.

–Accountable for QA/QC of all work on project.

–Provide high level of leadership in the resolution of design and construction issues.

–Continually seek to identify areas of risk and resolve them before they impact on the project.

–Overview of all project deliverables including documentation and training.

–Delivery of regular communications & progress reports to the COO.

–Prepare and administer budgets for the project. Budget reporting and management.

–Establish and maintain high standards of quality and control of cost within budget limits and adherence to the approved delivery program.

–Identify and reduce waste wherever possible.

Requirements:

–Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager with proven track record within vessel building industry (experience in Aluminum construction highly desirable).

–Formal project management qualifications highly desirable.

–High level negotiation, dispute resolution skills, performance and outcome orientation.

–Commercial acumen and excellent interpersonal & leadership skills.

–Experienced in contractual management and strong network of industry suppliers, subcontractors and contacts.

–Mature and patient. Ideally experienced in working with other cultures.

–Commitment to continuous improvement, safety, teamwork and open communications.

–Able to manage and communicate in both English & Mandarin language.
