Job Title: Production Manager

Reporting to GM (a foreigner from a western country)

Job location:  Dongguan City, Guangdong Province

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production department, ensuring the efficient and timely execution of production plans, and leading a team of production personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing and implementing production plans, schedules, and budgets.
2. Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operation of production processes.
3. Monitoring production milestone and taking necessary actions to meet quality, quantity, and delivery targets.
4. Evaluating and improving production processes, procedures, and work flows to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
5. Supervising and providing guidance to production personnel, resolving issues and conflicts, and promoting teamwork.
6. Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in production operations.
7. Developing and implementing training programs for production personnel to improve skills and knowledge.
8. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for improving production processes and products.
9. Maintaining strong communication and relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement.
10. Performing other related duties as assigned by the organization.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, supervisory or leadership role preferred, experience in the hardware manufacturing preferred
3. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
5. Strong team-building and motivational skills to lead and develop a high-performing team.
6. Familiarity with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and other production management tools.
7. Proactive attitude, ability to work independently, and strong commitment to continuous improvement.
