Job Summary:
The PMC Manager is a key role in the operations department, responsible for overseeing and managing the entire planning, materials control, and capacity planning processes. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals to ensure the smooth flow of production, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive production planning strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals.
  2. Oversee the materials planning and control process, including forecasting, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
  3. Coordinate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate production schedules and timely delivery of products.
  4. Manage the capacity planning process, including analyzing production capacity, identifying bottlenecks, and developing strategies to optimize utilization.
  5. Monitor and analyze production metrics such as throughput, efficiency, and cycle time to identify areas for improvement.
  6. Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate the impact of unexpected events, such as supply chain disruptions or equipment failures.
  7. Lead and mentor a team of planners, schedulers, and material controllers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues that impact production and material flow.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in production planning and materials control.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a PMC or related role in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience managing a team of planners and schedulers.
  4. Proven ability to develop and implement effective production planning strategies.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  6. Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  7. Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, and advanced Excel skills.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Willingness to travel to different facilities or suppliers as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience in the same or similar industry.
  3. Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  4. Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.

Work Environment:
The PMC Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multiple departments and stakeholders. The position requires frequent interaction with both internal and external customers, as well as the ability to manage a team of professionals.
