Position Title: PMC Manager

Job Summary:
The PMC Manager is a key role in the operations department, responsible for overseeing and managing the entire planning, materials control, and capacity planning processes. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals to ensure the smooth flow of production, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive production planning strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals.
- Oversee the materials planning and control process, including forecasting, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate production schedules and timely delivery of products.
- Manage the capacity planning process, including analyzing production capacity, identifying bottlenecks, and developing strategies to optimize utilization.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics such as throughput, efficiency, and cycle time to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate the impact of unexpected events, such as supply chain disruptions or equipment failures.
- Lead and mentor a team of planners, schedulers, and material controllers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues that impact production and material flow.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in production planning and materials control.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a PMC or related role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing a team of planners and schedulers.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective production planning strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to different facilities or suppliers as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the same or similar industry.
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.
Work Environment:
The PMC Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multiple departments and stakeholders. The position requires frequent interaction with both internal and external customers, as well as the ability to manage a team of professionals.
