China Application Engineer-Automotive Neumatic Tools

The company is a global and specialized manufacturer of connecting solutions with a history of more than 80 years, now running the business in Europe, American and Asia with around 2,000 professional team members around the world with more than 10 production sites including 5 Design Centers , their products are applied into crossed industries such as Automotive, General Industries and Life science and Others

They have been in China for more than 30 years with the head office in Shanghai and manufacturing center in North China with around 500 team members now. Currently they are looking for a high caliber to join in the technical team, the details are as following

Job Title: China Application Engineer-Automotive Neumatic Tools

Report to: Application Manager based in China

Location: Shanghai Pudong

Position Summary
Responsible for service and customer support for pneumatic tools, that are used with Automotive clamps and Automotive rings, for customers in China.
Essential Functions
1. Programming support for common configuration of industrial networks
2. Onsite customer installation of pneumatic and electronic tooling into high-end automated assembly lines
3. Provide customer training and support of the Automotive installation tools remotely or at customer location
4. Assembly of new power tools and tool repairs within Pneumatic Tools Center department or onsite at customer location
5. Analyze existing installation tools and make technical recommendations to improve overall performance
6. Up to 25% travel requirement within China
7. Power tool maintenance, repair, and refurbishment
8. Tool recommendation
9. Technical support
10. Pneumatic tool quality issue analysis
11. SAP operation
12. Power tool component renewal

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
1. Extensive knowledge of Serial and Ethernet/IP Protocols for industrial equipment
2. Extensive knowledge of PLC’s to interact with automated equipment
3. Excellent written & verbal native language skills
4. Proficient Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point)
5. Ability to understand electrical/electronic schematics （various electronical standards ）
6. Create and maintain electrical/electronic schematics
7. Ability to trouble shoot electrical/electronic problems (i.e. Multimeter, stripping wires)
8. Able to provide detail troubleshooting explanations (why and how something was fixed) Soft Skills – Customer Service mindset, self-starter, willingness to learn, team player
9. You have good read and written English language skills.
Education / Experience
• The incumbent should complete the education as an industrial electronics technician or mechatronics technician or electronics technician for automation technology and, based on this, completed education at college/university.
• The incumbent should have experience and knowledge in the field of service, ideally with comparable tool types (pneumatic, electrical)
• The incumbent can demonstrate basic knowledge in the field of pneumatics and hydraulics
• A team player who has technical expertise and manual skills
