Job Summary:

We are a company invested by a USA company, now we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mold Manager to join our dynamic Consumer Goods team for Dongguan Plant. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire mold management process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality consumer products. With a team of 10-20 engineers, including several supervisors, you will lead by example, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mold Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive mold management strategies aligned with company goals and production demands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize mold design, procurement, maintenance, and repair schedules.

2. Team Leadership & Development: Lead a diverse team of engineers and supervisors, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Foster a positive work environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and professional growth.

3. Project Management: Manage multiple mold-related projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to address challenges and drive project success.

4. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure all molds meet or exceed industry standards and customer requirements. Oversee mold inspections, repairs, and upgrades to maintain optimal performance and extend mold life.

5. Cost Efficiency: Continuously evaluate mold management processes for cost savings opportunities. Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and terms. Implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising product quality or production efficiency.

6. Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest mold design, manufacturing, and maintenance technologies. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, resolving complex issues and driving innovation.

7. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Implement safety procedures and trainings to minimize risks and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mold management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mold projects and teams.
• Strong technical knowledge of mold design, construction, and maintenance processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
• Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., CAD, CAM, ERP systems).
• Knowledge of consumer goods industry trends and best practices.
