Title: Senior Product Management
Report to: Marketing Manager
Location: Shanghai
Tasks and Responsibilities
Goal of the position
1. Coordinate all Product Management matters for the Company in China and report to the Marketing Manager China.
2. Serve a critical and central role in the development of product strategy for the China for all product divisions.
3. New and further development of products, processes and services is largely based on customer benefit and is the basis for productivity improvements.
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Product Management:
a. Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Analyze product performance, competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develop strategies for each product group based on your research, analysis and experience
• Direct and oversee all aspects of product lifecycle management including understanding market demands, trends and the competitive field
• Work with the sales team to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies and provide the technical support documents
• Support product launches through training (internal and external) for each product
• Support the Sales Team with product and business model related topics
• Build strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Represent the Company in local associations
• The ability to drive and excel in a fast paced, growing and evolving the Company China organization.
• Manage, sort and update product and technical documents and create local version based on the master documents, incl. website update
• Work with the sales team to oversee competitor’s product development and support with competitor database management
• Command the product standards and tests related to the plants as well as for the local market, and exchange with local colleagues as well as the responsible product management colleagues at the plants and organize the product tests for the local market
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
b. Market Intelligence:
• Collect and analyze competitor information
• Realization of market intelligence projects based on the demand of the supervisor
• High data quality in in all reports, analysis and IT systems (e.g. press contacts CRM), which are related to the area of responsibility
2. Compliance:
a. IT-Complaint Working Behavior:
• Shaping awareness of employees to work in accordance ot the IT security regulations.
• Obligation to work via the Company IT plattforms only for secure, comprehensive and transparent information exchange and to avoid any actions that might violate the Company IT security or data protection regulations (clarification in case of doubts with supervisor).
• Ensuring that company information are protected to maximum extent.
b. All compliance relevant content (written guidelines/e-learnings etc.) are reflected regularly pro-active for maximal awareness (Content overview will be provided by supervisor if needed).
Other reasonable duties and tasks as commensurate to the position and announced by superior.
Decision-Making Powers
1. Constant interaction with defined business partners (internal and external) based on the general the Company mission statement and the defined strategic goals.
2. No decision power to negotiate prices or conclude contracts.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree & Business Management (MBA) with major in IOT or Marketing related is highly preferred.
● 2+ years sales and marketing or technical sales experience of RFID. 3+ years product management experience is a must.
● Experience in product management and commercialization processes. Ability to champion new business ventures.
● Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
● Strong analytical skills combined with financial acumen.
● Strong teamwork and relationship building skills.
● Understanding of applicable computer software systems & tools.
● Excellent organizational, people and project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
● Strong customers focus and market orientation.
